This year has given me the opportunity to spend more time with my little French Bulldog, Xena. I used to travel every single month of the year (and sometimes Xena would join me in my adventures!). I’m thankful I have such a great friend next to me, a little stubborn at times but the fun never ends when I’m with her. Sometimes we don’t even have to talk or bark to each other to understand what we’re thinking.
We’ve spent lots of time watching travel shows together for the past few months. When I heard about Amazon Prime’s new unscripted show, ‘The Pack‘, I got really excited. It’s an epic adventure that you can enjoy with your doggie from the comfort of your house – and I have to admit that Xena and I would love to join the show in a future season (Amazon Prime, if you are reading this, we’re available – you should have my contact info!). To celebrate the series premiere, The Pack Amazon Prime sent us a box full of surprises: Xena a little theme park at home now and she can’t stop playing with all of her new toys.
The beautiful thing about ‘The Pack‘ is that the show celebrates the unrivaled bond between dogs and us, humans. It’s hosted by Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn and her canine co-host Lucy. There are 12 teams of dogs and their humans as we see them going on an epic adventure across multiple continents. If you are a frequent traveler and picture yourself traveling the world with your dog, now you know why I wouldn’t be able to resist participating in an adventure like this!
Here comes the tricky part for Xena and I: in order to win the final prize, the teams will have to depend on their understanding of one another’s strengths and weaknesses and prove to have the strongest bond in the pack. Xena and I are pretty stubborn so we’d have to do lots of training before taking on a challenge like this.
The winning duo will take home $500,000 and $250,000 for their favorite animal charity. The production team donated $250,000 during filming to multiple charities and animal rescue organizations in each country, a great gesture.
